Video Squeeze Page Usage is on the Rise, Do You Use Them?
by Timothy Theis
The use of video on squeeze pages helps the increasingly difficult task of getting your prospects to opt-in on your capture pages. This article is focused on the use of such media to aid just that. The most important task of any online marketer is to capture a prospects e-mail addresses in order to enable a chance to open dialogue with them. In order to communicate the advantages of the product or services available one must first capture a communication link to the prospect.

This has become a more difficult task due to the rising abuse of e-mail lists through spamming techniques. (Sending massive amounts of worthless ad mumbo jumbo to poor unsuspecting e-mail users) There are several spam blocking utilities available, however the amounts of this type of messaging is staggering and has made many Leary of giving out their e-mail to anyone.

In order to combat this problem and overcome the fear many have added tons of free offers and huge promises with lots of discounts to try to entice prospects to give up their address in order to receive them. This method tends to work sometimes with minute increments of opt-in growth per viewer visit.

I have been split testing several of these methods and found them to work with minimal improvements. For some reason most prospects that have been lured into the spam trap at least once in their surfing experience are hard to convince that there are some of us who use e-mail to seriously critique the benefits of a legitimate product or service.

I have also found that if you limit the amount of information the prospect is required to submit it also helps to get a response. Some squeeze pages ask for addresses, (generating junk mail) telephone numbers, (generating un-needed sales calls) first and last names, then e-mail. These types of opt-in pages usually end up generating junk consisting of spam about everything but what you were interested in to begin with.

I have experienced this myself many times. For example, I review products to write about for my customers and site visitors to read about. During this process I have opted-in on many pages asking for everything mentioned above just to purchase the product. One company in particular whose name I will not mention. Continues to call me about every week (different people each time) and try to get me to sign up for mentoring.

As I explain to them every time " I am a product review journalist, I buy products like yours and review their content for my followers. Why do I need mentoring?" they then ask me if I am making money on line? I reply: " I soon will, and don't need any help. Do you make money on line? After about 2-3 minutes of silence they usually him and ha and say good luck. I can just imagine how much that would cost me if I said yes.

Sorry for rambling on but this helps you to see where the fear is being generated. Now since about the mid 90's the video craze, I mean the simplicity of being able to create video digitally and display it on the net became popular. The use of video has risen to phenomenal proportions and seems to be very attractive to web surfers. By using this media along with good old sales tactics and gaining viewers trust, one can finally add persuasive content to entice potential prospects to opt-in on a squeeze page with some confidence. Of course only until the hard sell and spamming artists learn how abuse this also.

A good friend of mine notified me of a product just now available as of new years-eve day 2009. It uses these tactics to sell hand picked well researched products in niches that have huge potential to generate good income though affiliate marketing. Even though the niches are limited to only five to begin with they have dedicated themselves to add five more each and every month.

I have been busy researching the niches myself and find them to be right on target so far! For anyone that wants to just focus on the marketing aspects of online business this opportunity is just right for you. For just under $50 a month membership fees this could be that income stream you are looking for, it will get you into the black with your business.

You can be confident that the traffic you send to these squeeze pages will be jumping to that opt-in box and willing to at least leave their e-mail for you. The quality of these sites and pages are second to none, there are few that even compare. These guys are well- seasoned professionals with a knack for sure-fire conversion tactics.

Each member will have access to all five niches each month to promote and all that is required is file download and personalization. Then you just have to acquire domains, hosting and send traffic. According to what I was led to believe there are only 1000 members to subscribe before they close it. This alone tells me that they are serious about helping others succeed, as limited membership will reduce over selling the niches.

If you are good at social networking, writing articles or advertising this one was made for you. You do not have to set up your own site; you can outsource that for not too much cost and be focusing all your efforts toward the marketing end of things.
